Loved the beautiful nature, authentic experiences, comfortable atmosphere, stunning sunrises, and fishermen village. Unusual encounters and traditional Lao life immersion. Relaxation in fascinating landmarks. Casual meals at Pakbeng Restaurant. Combine sandy beach, swimming pool, water activities. Hilariously amazing!
None, because perfection is just so overrated.

The value for money was great! The room at Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge was beautiful with a wonderful view of the river. The location was convenient, just a few minutes walk to the restaurants. The staff treated us well, picking us up from the deck and offering us a drink upon arrival.
The breakfast option could have been better, as the service was slow and we had to ask for it to be packed to go.

The tranquility and beauty of Laos, authentic experiences, walks in the forest, protection of elephants, picturesque sunrise and sunset, charming village.
Oh, and let's not forget the joy of walking 10 minutes to reach the town. Such a nuisance!

We had an amazing stay at Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge. the property exceeded our expectations and the view of the Mekong River was breathtaking. the location was perfect for enjoying views of the river, sunset, and even watching elephants across the river. the hotel itself was well-maintained and surrounded by a beautiful garden. Our room was beautiful and had a fantastic view of the river. We appreciated the attention to detail, such as having real coffee and a French press in the room. the hotel's sustainability efforts, including glass water bottles and organic vegetable gardens, impressed us. the food in the restaurant was delicious, with great vegetarian options like the fantastic Laab Tofu. the value for money was excellent, and we could not have asked for a better luxurious break from cheap guesthouses. Cons: For us, there were no cons. 😊.

We stayed at the Sanctuary, Pakbeng, for three nights and it was an absolute delight. The hotel is set in a stunning garden with a breathtaking view of the Mekong River. The staff were friendly and attentive, even during a thunderstorm when they ensured we still received our dinner in the room. The owner was engaging and the discount on check out was a lovely surprise. The hotel's sustainability efforts, support for the Elephant Sanctuary, and organic vegetable gardens for staff were commendable. The food in the restaurant was delicious, with great vegetarian options. a luxurious and value-for-money stay.
100% Recommend this hotel.

As a senior woman, I absolutely adored the hotel's decoration and ambiance. The traditional architecture and exotic garden created a calming and serene atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful vacation. The hotel's general areas were easily accessible for me, with no stairs to climb and plenty of seating areas to relax and enjoy the magnificent views of the Mekong River. It truly felt like a piece of paradise tailored for senior guests.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is more assistance from the staff. While they were generally polite, it would have been nice to have some extra help with carrying luggage or guiding us through the hotel.

Honestly, we were blown away by the breathtaking views of the river from our room at Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge. It was like waking up in a tropical paradise every morning. And the best part? We got to witness a couple of elephants making their way down to the river right from our balcony. It was truly a magical experience. The social spaces were so charming and relaxing, perfect for unwinding with a book after a long day of exploring. The room itself was lovely, with a cozy balcony where we could sit and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. If only there had been air conditioning and a fridge in the room, it would have been perfect. But hey, a small inconvenience compared to the serenity we experienced. The staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome. The dinner included in the package was exceptional, and breakfast overlooking the river was simply unforgettable. I highly recommend Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge for a memorable stay in a beautiful and serene location.
